Frontlog started inside Just Ask AVA. Our remote team runs its KPIs and backlogs in Notion, and the team kept bringing ideas worth pursuing. Good ones. More than we could act on at once.
Those ideas needed somewhere to go before the backlog. A place where each one is kept, looked at and decided before anyone starts the work.
That place is the frontlog.
How we use it
Anyone on the team can suggest an idea. Some go straight onto the frontlog. Others get an optional AI audit first: an Advocate makes the case for it, an Auditor makes the case against it, both with sources.
Eric makes the final call: Execute, Hold or Pass. Ideas marked Execute get an owner, either assigned by Eric or claimed by a team member ready to take it on. Then the work moves into Notion. Ideas on Hold or Pass stay on record with the reason, so nothing good gets lost and nothing gets decided twice.
Ideas shared on purpose
Some ideas are worth more in the open. The Public Library holds ideas their owners chose to share, with research attached when there is some, so anyone can read them, adapt them and build on them with credit.
You decide what stays in your team and what goes public.
Who’s behind it
Eric Lee Usher, founder of Just Ask AVA. At Just Ask AVA, people own their work and use AI to execute it. That frees up time for new ideas, and Frontlog is where they land.
Give every idea a clear decision.
